WFNM is a student run, college owned non-profit radio station, which started in 1957. It is a typical College station featuring indie rock, classic rock, jazz, hip hop, blues, international, folk, and much more. The station’s coverage is Lancaster County and a small portion of Eastern York County. The broadcast range is just under a fifty-mile radius, line of sight. WFNM broadcasts August through mid December and mid January through April, twenty-four hours a day. They have DJs playing music from around noon to midnight seven days a week. WFNM found a new custom-designed home in 1976 when the Steinman College Center opened and, in 1980, increased its power to 100 watts and frequency to 89.1. Within our listening area, there are more than 400,000 potential listeners. Starting in March of 2008, WFNM began broadcasting the station online through the IBS Student Radio Network by Backbone. Now listeners are able to tune in to the station on the WFNM website or on iTunes.

Until the Light Takes Us Screening
Q&A with directors Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell
Joe Fucigna
One night only screening of Until the Light Takes Us at the Green Room Theater at Franklin and Marshall College. Until the Light Takes Us is a feature length documentary chronicling the history, ideology and aesthetic of Norwegian black metal—a musical subculture infamous as much for a series of murders and church arsons as it is for its unique musical and visual aesthetics and extreme ideologies. This is the first film to shed light on a movement that has been shrouded in darkness and rumor and further obscured by inaccurate and shallow depictions. Featuring exclusive interviews and verité with the musicians, a wealth of rare, seldom seen footage from the “Black Circle’s” earliest days, Until the Light Takes Us is an intimate exploration of the controversial movement that has captured the attention of the world. The filmmakers spent a couple years in Norway getting to know the key players in the scene, and this is their story. Until The Light Takes Us was awarded the Golden Athena for Best Documentary at the Athens International Film Festival in Athens, Greece. Check out more at blackmetalmovie.com.
